paragraph shorts is a wonderful source of short stories accompanied by interesting photographs. in this issue, my picture 'jake stars' illustrates 'tenth of december' by george saunders, a story about a misfit teen and a suicidal, middle-aged cancer patient. if you don't have an ipad, the story is at the new yorker site.
